Settled concrete near your front door is one of those things that starts as a minor annoyance and quietly becomes a real problem. One slab drops a little, then a little more, and before long you've got a trip hazard right where people walk every single day. Guests, family, delivery drivers - everyone hits that same uneven spot.

Here's what we were working with: a front walkway where one slab had dropped and pulled away from the step, creating a noticeable gap and an uneven surface right at the entry. A level placed on the step confirms what you can already see - something is off, and it needs to be addressed before someone takes a tumble.

That's exactly the kind of work we do. Using mudjacking, we pump a slurry mix beneath the settled slab to fill the void underneath and raise the concrete back to where it belongs. No demo, no haul-away, no waiting weeks for new concrete to cure. We drill small holes, inject the material, and the slab comes back up. It's a fraction of the cost of replacement and it holds up well when done right.

A lot of homeowners assume that once concrete settles, replacement is the only fix. It usually isn't. If the slab itself is structurally sound, lifting it is almost always the smarter call - both for your budget and your timeline. We've been doing this long enough to know the difference, and we're straight with people about what their slab actually needs.

Sinking or uneven concrete near your entryway is worth dealing with sooner rather than later. The longer a void sits beneath a slab, the more the surrounding soil shifts - and the harder the fix becomes. If you've got a walkway, step, or sidewalk that's gone out of level, we can take a look and tell you exactly what's going on.
